My first DIY

Well, Plato's Closet in Omaha is having their twice a year markdown sale, and I found this tank top for only $3. Once home, I realized, unfortunately, that the top was much too long, and looked kind of awkward. Without any idea how to wear it, the shirt sat in my closet for a couple weeks with the tags on. Today, while perusing my pinterest board (see right), I saw the pin for turning an old band tee into a cutoff tie front shirt. Inspiration struck, and here is the result. Of course, as you can see, I am using this as a swim-suit cover-up, but I would probably wear it on a hot day over a bandeau or something of the sort. Enjoy!
